The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children and infant CPR and relief of choking, use of barrier devices for all ages and the use of Automated External Defibrillator.

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.  This would include teachers, fitness trainers, coaches, and daycare providers.

This course also satisfies the Teacher Credential and school district requirements for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certifications.

American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider - 2 Year Initial Certification

Recommended for: MDs, RNs, EMTs, Dentists, Pharmacists, Physical Therapists and Medical Personnel

The BLS CPR Class covers:

Busy Healthcare Providers often need an alternative to traditional, classroom based ACLS training.  HeartCode ACLS is the official, self-directed comprehensive e-learning program from the American Heart Association (AHA).  Students complete an interactive, cognitive portion that includes ten (10) realistic patient microsimulation scenarios covering the ACLS algorithms, a team dynamics lesson and access to AHA textbooks.  Once the student has successfully completed their online course they may take their skills test.  Skills test may be complete at an Always Safe & Healthy training center.  Once the skills test has been successfully completed the student will receive their official AHA ACLS Certification Card.  With HeartCode ACLS, students will not only benefit from a convenient online based course, but will also save valuable time.  The online course will only work with PC's.  

 

Presented as a “hands-on workshop” format to reinforce information on:  Electrophysiology; Normal ECG measurements; Arrhythmias; ACLS drug usage and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies;  and how to integrate basic drug pharmacology into ACLS algorithms intended for healthcare provider usage.  A great preparation course for ACLS and PALS certifications.  The workbook for this class is to be used during the ACLS and PALS courses.  This book and class can be used as a reference source long after the course has been completed.  This colorfully illustrated workbook is a “must have” for all healthcare providers who must be competent in arrhythmia interpretation CEU’s & BRN’s are available.

Maintaining a professional career as a Healthcare Provider can be challenging when scheduling and attending certification courses.  As a result, the American Heart Association has developed an official, self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program reflecting new science based on the 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC.  Presented with a team dynamics lesson, 10 ACLS hospital-based case scenarios, the student will interact with the program, assessing each patient and formulate treatment based on 2010 ACLS guidelines and provide treatment.  The student will practice skills and testing at the Always Safe & Healthy training facility after successfully completing the online cognitive component and receive the ACLS Provider course completion card.

You will receive your American Heart Association PALS card the same day. Please note that this option is only open to students with current AHA PALS cards and if you do not pass either the megacodes or the written examination on the first try there is no remediation.  You will then have to register for the full PALS Recert course and pay the applicable fees (there will be no credit issued for failed course).

The American Heart Association PALS skills session is the hands-on portion of an AHA eLearning Pediatric Advanced Life Support course and includes Parts 2 and 3 – skills practice and testing.  It is conducted in-person after a student completes Part 1 online.  Please print your completion certificate from the online course and bring that with you to the skills test.

The PALS skills session is conducted by AHA PALS instructor.  After successful completion of the skills test, the student will be issued in PALS Provider card.
