PALS COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for Healthcare Professionals taking it for the first time or have an AHA PALS Certification that has expired by more than six (6) months. The PALS Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct, or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. Precourse preparation, didactic instruction, and active particpation in learning stations and simulated cases will be used to enhance the recognition and intervention of respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest.
Course Goal
The goal of the PALS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills.
Took my NRP, BLS, PALS, and ACLS through always safe and healthy. I appreciate that Kevin takes the time to have a discussion to assess if we're actually learning the material. He is knowledgeable and teaches in a very low pressure type environment, where you are encouraged to participate and actively learn. Always a pleasure! Anticipate being back in two years for my renewals :")
