American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider - 2 Year Initial Certification

Recommended for: MDs, RNs, EMTs, Dentists, Pharmacists, Physical Therapists and Medical Personnel

ACLS Course Description

This course is for Healthcare Professionals taking it for the first time or have an AHA Certification that has expired by more than six (6) months. The ACLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who may either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

The course is designed to give students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate proficiency in the following skills used in resuscitation:

  • Systemic Approach (assessment)
  • High-quality BLS
  • Airway management
  • Rhythm recognition
  • Defibrillation
  • Intravenous(IV)/Instraosseous (IO) (information only)
  • Use of medications
  • Cardioversion
  • Transcutaneous pacing
  • High-performance teams

This course also offers the option to add the BLS certification.

How Does it Work?

The student will register and pass the mandatory Precourse Self-Assessment.  Then the student will be given the key to review, understand, and complete the mandatory precourse work (video lessons).  Once you have passed the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and completed the video lessons, print your certificate, and bring it with you to class.  During the class, we will review the material, practice the skills, run codes, and complete your ACLS course exam.  Beautiful!

Ensure that your BLS skills and knowledge are current for the resuscitation scenarios.  You will be tested on adult high-quality BLS skills using a feedback manikin at the beginning of the ACLS Course.  However, you will also have the option to add the BLS Certification and skills training to this course.  This way you can finish both courses on the same day and receive those certification cards.  Very popular among our clients!!

This easy-to-understand and no-nonsense course teaches all the ECG basics you need to follow a case discussion and learn the ECG on the job. Plus, you learn how to diagnose important structural heart problems like myocardial infarction, hypertrophy, and volume overload. Recommended for anyone wanting to improve or refresh their ECG analysis skills.The course also deals with moderately advanced rhythm problems. PALS COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is for Healthcare Professionals taking it for the first time or have an AHA PALS Certification that has expired by more than six (6) months. The PALS Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct, or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients.  Precourse preparation, didactic instruction, and active particpation in learning stations and simulated cases will be used to enhance the recognition and intervention of respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest. 

Course Goal

The goal of the PALS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills.

The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children and infant CPR and relief of choking, use of barrier devices for all ages and the use of Automated External Defibrillator.

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.  This would include teachers, fitness trainers, coaches, and daycare providers.

This course also satisfies the Teacher Credential and school district requirements for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certifications.

Heartsaver First Aid is a classroom course that is designed to meet OSHA regulations.  The course teaches basic first aid skills such as:

  • Stopping bleeding that can be seen
  • Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
  • Making sure the scene is safe

This course satisfies the EMSA Pediatric First Aid Requirement.

American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED - 2 Year Certification

Recommended for: Daycare Providers, Preschools, Babysitters, School Bus Drivers, Child Care Workers, Parents and anyone working with children 8 years and younger.

** This class meets the requirements for the CPR and First Aid portion of the EMSA for Child Care Providers and School Bus Drivers.

The Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED Certification Course:

  • Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking for victims of all ages
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use and special considerations
  • Immediate Basic Pediatric First Aid Care (with an emphasis on most common pediatric emergencies
  • Pediatric Asthma, Inhaled Medications, and Anaphylaxis

 

This course also has the option for new parents and does not require a certification card.  There is a supplement that goes over the 10 most important things to home diagnose your children.

American Heart Association Skills Station for e-Learning BLS

Audience:
Participants who have completed part one of the AHA-HeartCode BLS course or who have completed part one of the AHA-BCLS online e-learning program. Students must provide a print out of the part one course completion certificate. The AHA BLS Provider card will be issued upon completion.

Classroom Time:
15 minutes on the average.  Please call us to schedule and come in for your skills testing.
